The club will be open at 16:30 for the Super 18 semifinal. Braai fires will be lit.
Training Runs and Races
Weekend Training Run – 22 July 2017 @ 07:00 – Fish Hoek Beach/Red Hill/Black Hill – 10km/18km/25km
The run will start at Fish Hoek Beach on Saturday at 07:00 and will follow the main road up Red Hill, through Da Gama Park and back to the beach, 18km
Shorter Option: Turn at the bottom of Red Hill – 10km
Longer Option: Over Black Hill and back to the beach via Kommetjie Road – 25km
Puffer Training Run – 22 July 2017 @ 07:30 – Constantia Nek – 23km
There will be a Puffer Training Run on Saturday 22 July 2017. The run will start from Constantia Nek at 07:30 and follow the contour path to the turnstile below the blockhouse and back. Distance +-23km Duration +- 4hours.
Runners must carry their own water, energy rations and whatever requirements are needed for race day i.e. first aid kit, space blanket, whistle and carry and have warm clothing like a windbreaker, buff, gloves etc.
Puffer Training Run – 23 July 2017 @ 06:30 – Sun Valley to Hamilton Rugby Club – 42km
Grant and Moira will be doing another training run on Sunday from Virgin Active Sun Valley to the finish of Puffer at Hamilton’s Rugby Club. Distance +-42km Duration +-8hours.
Runners must carry the essentials as stated above and organize their own lift back home from Hamilton’s.
Weekday Training Runs
- Monday 10km Time Trial: Fish Hoek Beach at 16:30
- Morning Group: Jim Scott has a group running from Fish Hoek Beach Tuesday’s and Thursday’s at 05:45am. Approx. 8kms
